Flemish regulations require that certain sampling, measurements and analyses of water must be carried outby accredited laboratories or may be carried out by the operator itself under certain conditions. Theseaccredited laboratories and operators shall apply the methods set out in the compendium for the sampling,measurement and analysis of water, WAC as abbreviated.

The WAC compendium consists of six parts: methods of sampling and pre-treatment, organoleptic analysismethods, inorganic analysis methods, organic analysis methods, biological analysis methods and methods ofvalidation.
The compendium is approved by ministerial decree.
Only the methods that are new or change compared to the previous notified compendium WAC (reference2023/0449/B, supplemented by 2023/0753/B) are communicated in the Word document attached. Thesemethods are indicated in bold in the table of contents of the compendium. Amended parts are indicated in redfont in the methods.
