draft Ministerial Decree approving the compendium for the sampling, measurement and analysis of air(LUC)

Flemish regulations require that certain sampling, measurements and analyses of air must be carried out byaccredited laboratories, or may be carried out by the operator itself under certain conditions. These accreditedlaboratories and operators must apply the methods set out in the compendium for the sampling, measurementand analysis of air, abbreviated LUC.

The compendium LUC consists of nine parts:
- general methods with quality and reporting requirements,
- methods for the determination of dust-like components by isokinetic sampling (emission measurements),
- methods for the determination of gaseous waste gas components with measuring devices measured(emission measurements),
- methods for the determination of gaseous components or total (gas + dust) by chemical sampling, wet orotherwise (emission measurements),
- methods for the determination of volatile organic compounds (emission measurements),
- methods for the determination of highly volatile organic compounds sampled in gaseous form (emissionmeasurements),
- methods for the determination of heavy components with multi-stage sampling (dioxins, PAHs, PCBs)(emission measurements),
- methods for fugitive emissions, emission factors, efficiency determinations and the like,
- methods for the determination of organic substances (immission measurements).
The compendium is approved by ministerial decree.
Only the methods that are new or change compared to the previous notified compendium LUC (reference2023/0434/B, supplemented by 2023/0752/B) are communicated in the Word document attached. Thesemethods are indicated in bold in the table of contents of the compendium. Amended parts are indicated in redfont in the methods.
