Food Quality System ‘Pork Quality System – Tradition And Quality – TAQ’

The draft contains a description of the voluntary national agricultural product quality scheme in accordancewith the criteria set out in Article 47(a) of Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2022/126 of7 December 2021 supplementing Regulation (EU) 2021/2115 of the European Parliament and of the Councilwith additional requirements for certain types of intervention specified by Member States in their CAP StrategicPlans for the period 2023 to 2027 under that Regulation as well as rules on the ratio for the good agriculturaland environmental condition (GAEC) standard 1.

The draft sets out the modalities for the production, recognition, certification, monitoring, use of antimicrobialveterinary medicinal products and voluntary labelling with a special quality mark for pigmeat whose qualityexceeds the safety and animal welfare requirements laid down in EU and national legislation.
The requirements of the TAQ scheme have been developed by a group of producers who will implement them.Participation in the scheme is voluntary. All entities that fulfil the requirements set out in the standards of thescheme are entitled to participate in it.
Meeting the food quality requirements laid down in the TAQ scheme and participation in it are voluntary.Therefore, the adoption of the scheme has no influence on the entities which have not joined it and does notimpose any obligations on them.
