Propuesta de Modificación del Decreto N°176, de 2006, del Ministerio de Transportes y Telecomunicaciones, Subsecretaría de Transportes (Proposed amendment to Decree No. 176 of 2006 of the Ministry of Transport and Telecommunications, Under-Secretariat for Transport) (5 pages, in Spanish)

The purpose of the notified text is to amend Decree No. 176 of 2006 of the Ministry of Transport and Telecommunications, in order to:

1.    Update the regulations (Regulation No. 129 replaces Regulation No. 44, both United Nations documents).

2.    Stipulate that accreditation must be based on documentation issued no more than five years ago at the time of application.

3.    Require that a test report and factory background information be submitted, together with the international certification, when accreditation is based on the United Nations Regulation.

4.    Provide for the replacement of the current national standard compliance label with one that includes a QR code.

5.    Provide for the publication of the instruction manual on the MTT website.

6.    Require certification of the system's useful life; document to be issued by the manufacturer.

7.    Require re-accreditation in cases where accreditation was granted five or more years ago.
