The main objectives of this draft text are:

·        To define new vinegars, namely whey and honey vinegars;

·        To establish the names under which vinegar can be marketed;

·        To introduce regulatory provisions on the sanitary approval of establishments, the traceability of vinegar and packaging specifications;

·        To define modalities for the labelling and presentation for sale of marketed vinegar;

·        To establish required volumes for table vinegar; and

·        To provide for the repeal of Decree No. 2-10-385 of 23 Jumada II 1432 (27 May 2011) governing the manufacture of and trade in vinegar.
