32 food additives that have been found to be no longer distributed in the Japanese market are supposed to be prohibited for their use within one year. The food additives are listed in the Public Notice of the Consumer Affairs Agency No. 11 of 5 September 2024 requesting public comments. These additives will be withdrawn from the List of Existing Food Additives in the MHLW Notification No. 120 of 16 April 1996.
