The Order concerns tobacco substitutes. A tobacco substitute is a product containing nicotine that is not atobacco product, an electronic cigarette or an authorised medicinal product.

Draft Order on the labelling of and health warnings on tobacco substitutes.

The amendments to the Order add requirements for the labelling of the packaging of tobacco substitutes.

The amendments to the Order concern:
- Unit packets and any outer packaging of tobacco substitutes shall contain information on the nicotine contentper unit. For nicotine bags, it is per bag.
- Unit packets and any outer packaging of tobacco substitutes shall bear the following:
nicotine cessation information: Stoplinien: 80 31 31 31 www.stoplinien.dk.
- The person who markets a tobacco substitute in Denmark must ensure that each unit packet and any outerpackaging does not contain elements or features which refer to taste, smell, flavourings or other additives orstate that the product does not contain them, with the exception of the words ‘with a tobacco taste’ or ‘with a menthol taste’.
