Smoke alarm

Decree of the Ministry of the Interior on Smoke Alarms

The Decree provides for the minimum number of smoke alarms in dwellings, based on the floors andsurface area of the dwelling. No changes will be made to the regulation in respect of the minimum number ofsmoke alarms in accommodation facilities and care homes.

The Decree would provide for the placement of smoke alarms on the ceilings of rooms whenever thisinstallation option is possible, taking into account the characteristics of the product.
The Decree does not lay down technical requirements for the products.
