Decree of the Ministry of the Interior on portable fire extinguishers

The Decree would lay down the product requirements for portable fire extinguishers referencing theEuropean standard SFS-EN 3-7 or another technical specification in an equivalent standard.

The Decree would provide for a national additional requirement to indicate the service interval specified by themanufacturers of the portable fire extinguisher.
The Decree would also state that the colour of the tank of a portable fire extinguisher for domestic use maydiffer from the requirements of the standard and be a colour other than red. The extinguisher should be inaccordance with the standard as regards its other characteristics. In addition, portable fire extinguishers in acolour other than red should be marked with a separate label indicating that they are intended for domestic useonly.
