Decree of the Ministry of Transport of the Slovak Republic amending Decree No 134/2018 laying downdetails of the operation of vehicles in road traffic, as amended

The draft Decree amends Decree No 134/2018 of the Ministry of Transport and Construction of the SlovakRepublic laying down details of the operation of vehicles in road traffic, as amended by Decree No 308/2019,Decree No 499/2019 and Decree No 21/2023, notified under Directive (EU) 2015/1535 under notificationnumber 2017/0599/SK, notification number 2019/144/SK, notification number 2019/448/SK and notificationnumber 2022/0677/SK.

The draft Decree
a) makes adjustments concerning the fulfilment of certain technical requirements for electronically powerassisted cycles (EPAC) not belonging to category L, scooters with auxiliary motor and self-balancing vehicles;
b) makes adjustments based on practice;
c) brings the requirements relating to escort vehicles for the transport of overweight and oversized loads intoline with the technical conditions for authorising special road use; and
d) makes adjustments resulting from the corrigendum to Council Directive 96/53/EC (OJ L 2023/90115,20.11.2023);
e) corrects references to current technical standards;
f) stipulates the dimensions and weights for tri-articulated buses, which are not covered by Council Directive96/53/EC.
