Live domestic pigs and wild pigs and their carcasses

According to the announcement of the Government Gazette dated 26 April 2024, the suspension for the importation or transit of live domestic pigs and wild pigs and their carcasses from Germany, has expired on 26 July 2024. However, the WOAH has reported a continued outbreak of African Swine Fever in the area of Germany. Therefore, it is necessary for Thailand to prevent the entry of African Swine Fever disease into the country. By the virtue of the Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558 (2015), the importation or transit of live domestic pigs and wild pigs and their carcasses from Germany is temporarily suspended for a period of 90 days after the date of publication in the Thai Royal Gazette.
