The Swedish Work Environment Authority’s regulations (AFS 2024:XX) amending the Swedish WorkEnvironment Authority’s regulations (AFS 2023:4) on products – machinery

Requirements are to be imposed on distributors making machinery available on the Swedish market.

The draft regulations stipulate that the instructions for use and the EC declaration must be in Swedish.
The Swedish Work Environment Authority considers that requirements for distributors should be included inAFS 2023:4. In order to be placed on the market in Sweden, machinery must have instructions for use inSwedish. This requirement is justified for reasons of safety, since the life and health of users (workers,consumers and children etc.) may be at risk if they do not understand the content of the instructions for use.
