AMA Quality Seal Guidelines - Sheep and goat farming for meat and milk production – amendment

The AMA Quality Seal Guidelines - Sheep and goat farming is amended as follows:

• The requirement that lambs that are more than six weeks old at the time of placement must originate eitherfrom organic holdings or holdings that are participants in this guideline is deleted.
• Even before the entry into force of Regulation (EU) 2023/1115, only use soya produced from certifieddeforestation-free production may be used in the AMA Quality Seal programme.
• The point Intervention has been clarified.
• The lamb and kid module adapts the animal health orientation and focuses on parasite management. Thisincludes the collection of different grazing systems and grazing management measures. Animal health mustalso be maintained and improved through specific health monitoring. Additional animal-related managementparameters and holding-related parameters on animal health and welfare are included.
