Draft Act amending Act No 166/1999 on veterinary care and amending certain related acts (the VeterinaryAct), as amended, and other related acts.

The notification concerns only ‘PART ONE - Amendment of the Veterinary Act’.

Point 37 – § 21(8) and (9):
The Act lays down the procedure for the notification of slaughter on a holding in accordance with Section I,Chapter VI of Annex III and Regulation (EC) No 853/2004.
Point 47 – § 25(4):
Requirements for the sale of animal by-products intended for the feeding of pet animals, when sold in foodretail outlets with a corresponding range of animal products, are specified. It is the sale of animal by-products,typically cuttings, produced in a butcher's shop during the processing of animal products originally intended forhuman consumption.
Point 55 – § 27b(6) and (7):
The Act defines more precisely the duties of trained persons, which depend on whether or not the wild gamehunted in a particular case poses a health risk according to the results of the examination carried out by thatperson.
