Requirements for the Circulation of Eggs in Small Quantities
Amendments to Cabinet Regulation No 235 ‘Requirements for the Circulation of Eggs in Small Quantities’ of3 May 2017
Eggs of domestic fowl (Gallus gallus) shall be supplied to the end consumer no later than 28 days afterlaying instead of the previous 21 days; this also applies to eggs supplied to the end consumer in smallquantities and to retail establishments that supplies eggs directly to the end consumer, as the requirements ofDelegated Regulation 2022/2258 do not directly apply to the supply of small quantities of eggs. For eggs ofdomestic fowl (Gallus gallus), the shelf life shall be no longer than 28 days after laying.
