The notified Ecuadorian Technical Regulation applies to the following products, whether domestic or imported, marketed in Ecuador:
· Personal protective equipment (PPE): belts for work positioning and restraint.
· Personal protective equipment (PPE) used to prevent falls from a height: safety harnesses.
· Connection subsystems: lanyards, energy absorbers, retractable-type fall arresters and connectors supplied with PPE used to prevent falls from a height.
· Anchor devices for use solely with personal protective equipment used to prevent falls from a height.
