The Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI) has proposed to withdraw the Ministerial Regulation Prescribing Industrial Products for Portable Power Bank - Safety Requirements to conform to the standard B.E. 2563(2020). This Addendum is to inform that this draft Ministerial Regulation mandates portable power bank to conform to the Thai Industrial Standard TIS 2879-25XX (20XX) Portable Power Bank: Safety Requirements.

In this Ministerial Regulation, a portable power bank is defined as any portable energy-storage device containing secondary batteries with charging circuitry having an output voltage not exceeding 20 Vdc, at least one charging port and weight not exceeding 7 kilograms.

This draft Ministerial Regulation will come into force after 180 days following the date of its publication in the Government Gazette.
