The notified Resolution establishes the phytosanitary requirements governing the importation of tomato seeds coming from Spain:
· Tomato seeds originating in Spain that enter Nicaragua must come from areas or sites that are free from the following pests: Tomato brown rugose fruit virus, clavibacter michiganensis, tomato mosaic virus, potato spindle tuber viroid, tomato bushy stunt virus and pseudomonas viridiflava.
· The phytosanitary certificate must include an additional declaration confirming inspection by the National Plant Protection Organization and indicating that the seeds are free from: Tomato brown rugose fruit virus, clavibacter michiganensis, tomato mosaic virus, potato spindle tuber viroid, tomato bushy stunt virus and pseudomonas viridiflava.
· Containers must be new, duly labelled and marked, indicating the species, variety and country of origin.
· The seeds will be subject to phytosanitary inspection at the point of entry into the country.
